Finally Home Again...

One Week Later...

Here is another update one week later since Derian's back surgery. I was leaving the hospital after visiting him on my lunch break. And I sent this message to his church congregation. I am sharing with you....

Blessed Hands...(A Special Thank you...)

We want to say a special thank you to a wonderful man of God as well as amazing surgeon, Dr. Colby Maher at Baptist Medical Group. He completed my husband's back surgery on last Thursday. While we were in the ER last night, he came by to see us to check up on Derian and to make sure everything went smoothly. We appreciate him and God for blessing his hands for a successful surgery and for having a beautiful spirit. Thank you Dr. Maher...we love you to life!!

My husband Derian is making great strides by being to walk around the hospital floor...however, when the drains were pulled out from his incision area, it was a painful reminder. But thankfully, he endured it gracefully...

The First Steps...

They say the first steps to recovery are the most challenging. Once you have made them, things get little easier...so here is my husband, Derian making his first steps to walk today after having back surgery....he did an awesome job... thanks to Chris from Physical Therapy at Baptist Healthcare....
